D went home after six weeks with us. She and her housemate, Thor, were with us for aggression rehab and behavior modification. Both D and Thor had a history of lunging at dogs, getting into dog fights, and they killed a cat. We taught them each an off switch and patterned much calmer behavior around each other. Thor went home a couple of weeks ago, so we had him join D for her go-home sessions to see how they would do once reunited. These two did an amazing job along with their owner. Like we always say, it’s one thing for the dogs to do well with us, but how they do with their owners is the real test. We taught this family everything they need to know to continue their success once back home, and we look forward to hearing about all of their progress.
