In this video Dog Rehabilitation - Saved from the euthanasia list to training with Americas canine educator Thomas travel to Virginia to help a dog on the euthanasia list get off that list and living a more balanced life. This dog was an hour from being euthanized before being saved by this family and now Thomas goes to work giving another dog a happy and balanced life. The dog could not be taken outside without dragging the owners in the pursuit of squirrels or other dogs. Thomas helps these dog owners understand how to build a foundation for training by developing a balanced relationship with some basic training techniques inside the house. This is done so that the dog understands what is expected of her without the distractions of being outside. This is episode #2 of the series, understanding your dogs behavior is a must if you are going to train your dog successfully. In the same way that you cannot expect your dog to automatically understand English. In cases where behavior issues already exist owners must be much more diligent and persistent with dog training techniques that build a balanced relationship as a foundation for training.
