House training Boxer Puppy can be referred to as:
▪ housebreaking
▪ potty training
▪ crate training
They all mean the same thing, basically we don't want our little loved ones to be "peeing" or "pooing" inside our apartment or house.
As with all training, pup and dog training should be positive with gentle approaches that do not include harsh punishment.
House training or housebreaking your boxer puppy is and important time investment that pays off in the long run.
Its unfortunate that some boxer puppies end up at the pound because their original owners never potty train them.
Don't get frustrated, your pup is really just a baby so please take the time to potty train your Boxer Puppy - you don’t want your little fur ball to end there.
A Reminder in Potty training, house breaking or house training your boxer puppy:
It's important to remember that your precious puppy has small bladders and when they have to go, THEY WILL GO.
It is so very similar to potty training a two year old. You don't wait to tell your two year old to "wait until you finish cooking", the same applies to your pup - they can't wait.
When To House Train Your Boxer Puppy:
You should house train your puppy the moment you bring him or her home.
They may not necessarily understand or co-operate when you tell them to pee or poop..
The very first attempts will be messy however as it becomes routine, they will catch on and begin to behave and find their own "style" or place to poop.

However here are 6 of the most important tips you NEED TO KNOW in potty training your Boxer Puppy:
1. Watch and observe them closely - it may sound simple however you need to pick up on their body language like: sniffing, circling, squatting. Obviously you can't follow them around 24/7 but observation is important
2. Decide on a location - If your puppy or dog is indoor a lot, you may choose the bathroom as the main location of elimination. This is where you place puppy pads or even a dog litter box. However most dog owners choose an outside location for elimination as it keeps the smell out of the house and apartment.
3. Use a crate - A crate is a type of enclosure with four sides, a top and a floor. The advantage of crating is that dogs do not soil the place where they sleep. The notion about using crates as house training tools lies in the fact that instinctively dogs do not want to soil their den or nest.
4. Choose a word for elimination - just like how you teach your dog to "sit", you will have a word command for elimination like "go potty".
5. Understand their potty schedule - Young puppies and dogs will naturally need to eliminate after certain events like, after eating or drinking, after playing or upon waking up from sleep.
6. Praising them when they eliminate - Take them out on outing and praise him your puppy or dog when they eliminates (remember to have bag to clean up after them). Basically you will want your puppy to know he can eliminate in places other than home.
If you don't have a boxer puppy and adult boxer dog, the best way to housetrain an adult Dog is to begin all over again.
Observe your boxer dog very closely. Maybe even maintain a diary of where he or she goes and when.
