Don't let your ideology be your identity.
So many folks are so married to an ideology that they do not care what happens at all with the end user.
Dog Trainers that are so married to the pure positive movement do not care if dogs die and if owners are left struggling or left with dangerous dogs.
The concept that you have to stick to an ideology that is failing owners on a daily basis sure makes all of us think if the success of the dog and the owner is even in the cards. Over and over again, dogs and owners are left hanging because of an ideology that does not allow you to NEVER say NO to your dog, to NEVER correct your dog, to NEVER have our dog uncomfortable in any situation, to NEVER do anything to stress out your dog.
The issue is that the actual owners pain, discomfort, stress, pocketbook, livelyhood, sanity, safety is NEVER taken into consideration. All for an ideology that has become the identity of someone.
the funny thing is that if you say ANYTHING against this ideology, you are then called an animal abuser, yep, so in the eyes of the pure positive movment, me doing this tip I am not only an abuser of animals but I am encouraging others to abuse dogs, also I am considered stupid and uneducated as well. Thats how it works..pretty funny isn't it...so thats the tip for the day..
Don't let your ideology become your identity, and in my world, dogs die and owners are left lost and helpless.
