What are the most effective dog training methods? -Dog Science Explained

*PLEASE NOTE* at the beginning of this video I get the terms mixed up, the proper definitions are as follows:

Positive reinforcement: giving something the dog likes to increase the likelihood of a behaviour being repeated

Negative reinforcement: removing something the dog DISlikes to increase behaviour

Negative Punishment: removing something the dog likes to decrease the likelihood of a behaviour being repeated

Positive punishment: giving the dog something unpleasant to decrease the behaviour

How should you train your dog?

There are a lot of people out there advertising themselves as expert trainers, and different trainers advocate different techniques. What methods does science tell us work best?
