What do you do about a dog that bites and even breaks skin. The dog resource guards it's ball toy. How do you stop aggressive dogs from reacting to humans. This is not a something that the average person can deal with easily. Sometimes help from a trainer is needed. The punisher for this kind of bad behavior should be done with a remote collar. Keep your hands off the dog when giving a punishment to cut down on the chances of being bitten.

Nicole asks....

Adult dog has been e-collar trained w/ top IACP trainer (Illinois), has awesome place, release, and recall commands; also uses prong and martingale collars. Most times, she's all "lovey-dovey." I'm her 3rd owner.

a. Has 6- level 2 bites (2 kids, 1 previous male owner, 2 on my bf, 1 on me) and 1-level 3 (bf's finger); Jeckyl/Hyde personality, unpredictable.

b. VERY protective of specific Chuck-it ball- will hunch over, back turned and turn head away while trying to removed from mouth.

c. Minimal food (resource) guarding.

d. NOT allowed on couches or beds. She has "Her area".

2. Do you rehab a dog that has attacked their owner? There is strong leadership in the house.
