Bailey is here for a 5 week board and train program to address her reactivity, anxiety, and some human aggression.
Bailey has a habit of lunging, barking, and growling at other dogs and strangers and she recently bit a delivery man.
She has high anxiety and will react when someone comes to the door.
We are teaching her confidence, how to look to us for guidance, and how to make better decisions in certain situations.
Because of her anxiety around strangers, we have seen a little resistence with her commands. While Bailey does know how to down, she was hesitant with us.
Jordan took it a step back and worked from the begininng with her. She used her daily kibble to lure her into the down and rewarded once she was there.
Eventually, she was able to add the verbal and add more pressure. She used the leash pressure to guide her down. Once Bailey put the two together, she was much more willing to down once she heard the verbal cue.
This allows us to work on confidence and build more of a relationship with us so that we are able to work through her issues.
