Here is a quick look at Bailey during her drop off session this past week. She is here for a 5 week board and train program to address her reactivity, anxiety, and some human aggression.
Bailey will lunge, bark, and growl at other dogs and strangers and she recently bit a delivery man.
She has high anxiety and will react when someone comes to the door. Right now, her owner is using gates to keep her away from guests until she calms down.
This can be very stressful and chaotic in the household and dangerous for both Bailey and the house guests.
Her owner would like to be able to trust her more around people and dogs and not be afraid that she will bite. Because of her anxiety, we will be teaching her confidence, how to look to us for guidance, and how to make better decisions in certain situations.
As we build a bond and trust with Bailey, we are starting to see her relax and look to us for advice. That is exactly what we want. She is not ready to make decisions on her own so we must guide her every step of the way.
