These dogs are located in Putnam County, New York and are available to the following:
Nakoma: for DONATION to local police department. Requirements: letter from department chief acknowledging donation and intent to use dog. Handler must schedule handling lessons (no cost) with K9-1 Specialized Dog Training.
If we cannot find a local donation first we will consider a non local donation if the handler comes to us for a couple of days handler lessons. Letter from chief and intent is still required. Lastly, we will consider to SELL her to a private company that will give her a fulfilling job or place her within a local home that will enroll in training classes at our facility.
Xochi: For FREE to local placement (non-law enforcement home). Must enroll dog in obedience/handler classes at our facility (www.dogtraining.courses)
If neither of these placements can be found in reasonable time we will consider other options. Please do not contact us if you are a broker or trainer looking to resell the pups or any situation where the dogs will spend more time in a kennel then having activity. If you currently have other adult dogs that spend a lot of crate time or otherwise a dog collector please don't inquire. We also are not interested in putting them in a "pack" situation. We are only interested in placing the dogs in a permanent and fulfilling situation as an active companion hobby dog.
